How Much Does the OSCP Cost? Exam, Retakes, Renewal and Prep

Every OffSec fee for the OSCP+ (OSCP Plus), checked on offsec.com on November 3, 2026 and linked to its source, plus what the pricing page leaves out: retakes, keeping the "+", the cost in India and OffSec's past Black Friday offers.

    The short answer

As of November 3, 2026, the OSCP® price is $1,699 for the exam on its own, $1,749 for OffSec's Course + Cert Bundle (90 days of PEN-200 with labs and one exam attempt), or $2,749 a year for Learn One, OffSec's annual subscription (a year of PEN-200 with labs and two exam attempts). On November 2, 2026, OffSec was offering Learn One at $2,199. Whichever course you prepare with, the exam attempt itself is bought from OffSec.

The OSCP+™ has the same price, because it comes from the same exam: one pass earns both the OSCP and the OSCP+. Two costs sit outside those prices. Retakes are priced separately, and OffSec's pricing pages don't list the figure, so check it in your OffSec account before you budget. Keeping the OSCP+ past its three-year expiry costs $145 a year for OffSec's Annual Maintenance Fee or $299 a year for its Annual Membership, on top of a renewal route. The plain OSCP you earn alongside it never expires and costs nothing to keep.

The exam fee is fixed. What you control is how ready you are when your paid lab access begins, and how many attempts you end up buying. Much of that readiness can be built for free before you pay OffSec anything. To weigh these prices against pentester pay and what job ads ask for, see is the OSCP worth it.

We're Hacker Blueprint. Our instructor holds the OSCP, our academy has more than 600 students, and around 7,000 people have claimed our prep materials. This page lists every OffSec fee with a link to the page that publishes it.

Video: OSCP costs and choosing a bundle

Is the OSCP Right for Me? (2026 Guide) starts with who the OSCP suits, then covers the exam costs at 1:16 and how to choose between OffSec's bundles at 2:39, before the exam structure and rules at 4:09 and a study roadmap at 9:09. It went up in November 2025, before OffSec announced scaled scoring. Use the fee table below for current prices, and our scaled scoring guide for how exams are passed from December 1, 2026.

Every OSCP fee in one table

Prices checked November 3, 2026 on offsec.com. OffSec changes prices and runs promotions, so confirm the number on the product page before you pay.

    Fee Price What you get
OSCP+ exam only $1,699 once 2 exam attempts in a 90-day period, no course materials
Course + Cert Bundle $1,749 once 90 days of PEN-200 and its labs, 1 exam attempt
Learn One $2,749 a year, auto-renews 1 year of PEN-200 and its labs, 2 exam attempts
Exam retake Check your OffSec account Valid 120 days from purchase
Annual Maintenance Fee (AMF) $145 a year OSCP+ maintenance only, non-refundable
Annual Membership (AMP) $299 a year, auto-renews OSCP+ maintenance, Proving Grounds Practice, CPE-eligible content

The exam and course prices come from OffSec's PEN-200 page, its OSCP+ Standalone Exam page and its pricing page. The two maintenance options come from its Annual Membership page. Every link is in Sources at the end.

Passing the exam earns two certifications at once: the OSCP, which has no expiration date, and the OSCP+, which expires three years from issue. The last two rows only matter if you want to keep the "+".

What you get with each OffSec option

Exam only ($1,699). OffSec's OSCP+ Standalone Exam page lists "2 exam attempts in a 90-day period" and no course materials. The PEN-200 page offers it to people who are "already prepared for the exam". You get the attempts and nothing to study from, so it suits someone whose preparation is done.

Course + Cert Bundle ($1,749). 90 days of access to one 200 or 300-level course (PEN-200 for the OSCP), its hands-on labs and a single exam attempt. OffSec says anything in the PEN-200 material can appear on the exam, and the course's challenge labs include three designed to closely replicate the OSCP+ exam environment. Compared with the exam alone, the extra $50 buys 90 days of the official course and labs, with one attempt included instead of two.

Learn One ($2,749 a year). OffSec's annual subscription: one year of access to one course, its labs and two exam attempts. It renews automatically unless you cancel, so if you only want one year, set a reminder before the renewal date. The longer access suits people who can only study part time. On November 2, 2026, OffSec showed Learn One at $2,199, $550 off, with no end date on the page, so check the price on offsec.com before you buy. Don't confuse it with OffSec's Annual Membership, a separate $299-a-year plan for keeping the OSCP+ that's covered further down.

OffSec's pricing page also says eligible US learners can split enrollment into 3 to 4 interest-free payments or finance it through Klarna. If your employer pays for training, ask before you buy: OffSec lists team plans on its pricing page.

Older guides also mention Learn Unlimited, OffSec's all-courses plan. As of November 3, 2026, it isn't on OffSec's pricing page, and its product link leads to Learn Enterprise, which OffSec sells to teams.

Which OSCP purchase fits your starting point

The access window on the bundle and on Learn One runs whether you're studying or stuck on basics, so the right purchase depends on how much you still need to learn when you buy.

Where you are What usually fits Why
Linux, networking or scripting still slow you down No OffSec purchase yet Build the foundations for free first
Comfortable on standalone machines, want the official course Course + Cert Bundle 90 days goes far when you arrive prepared
Studying part time, or want a second attempt included Learn One A year of access and 2 attempts
Rooting OSCP-style machines and AD chains without walkthroughs Exam only 2 attempts, no course

A useful yardstick for the 90 days: OffSec's own 12-week PEN-200 learning plan asks for about 20 hours a week, close to 250 hours in all, and it assumes you already have the basics. If you can't give the course that kind of time for twelve weeks, the bundle's 90 days will feel short. Do more free preparation first, or look at Learn One.

To check where you stand before you pay, the first chapter of our video When Are You Ready for the OSCP? (2026 Guide) is purchase advice, followed by a readiness check at 1:13. Our post on how hard the OSCP is helps you judge the gap between where you are and the exam.

How much an OSCP retake costs

An OSCP retake is a separate purchase, and as of November 3, 2026, OffSec's product and pricing pages don't list its price, so check the cost in your OffSec account before you budget.

Third-party pages quote retake figures that disagree with each other, so ask OffSec's sales team if you need a number before you buy. OffSec's Learn One page says you can still buy a retake after your subscription expires, or while it's active once its exam attempts are used up.

What OffSec does publish is the retake policy, last updated June 29, 2026:

    • A retake is valid for 120 days from purchase. If you buy it during a cooling-off period, the 120 days start when the cooling-off ends.
    • The cooling-off period grows with each failure. OffSec counts failures per exam across everything you've bought, so a new subscription doesn't reset the count.
    • Canceled exams have no cooling-off period. Only failed attempts count.
    Failed so far Earliest retake
1 failed attempt 4 weeks after your previous exam date
2 failed attempts 8 weeks after your previous exam date
3 or more failed attempts 12 weeks after your previous exam date

Two of the three OffSec options already include a second attempt: Learn One and the exam-only purchase. With the bundle, a failed first attempt means buying a retake.

The fee is only part of what a retake costs. Each failure adds weeks of waiting, and on the bundle those weeks can run past the end of your 90 days of course access. Retakes that start on or after December 1, 2026 at 08:00 GMT also use scaled scoring, even if your first attempt was marked out of 70. OffSec says retake policies, waiting periods and exam fees aren't changing. Our scaled scoring guide covers retakes across that date.

How much it costs to keep the OSCP+

The OSCP+ expires three years after it's issued. The OSCP you earn with it stays valid indefinitely, so letting the "+" lapse costs nothing and leaves you with the OSCP. Our OSCP vs OSCP+ post explains what each credential means to employers.

To keep the "+", OffSec offers three routes:

    Route When What OffSec charges
Recertification exam In the 6 months before expiry An exam purchase
Another qualifying OffSec certification While the "+" is still valid That certification, plus the AMF
CPE program During the 3 years Credits you earn, from OffSec content or other activities

The qualifying certifications for the OSCP+ are OSWA, OSEP, OSWE, OSED and OSEE. Passing one extends the "+" by three years, as long as it hasn't expired yet and you pay the Annual Maintenance Fee.

Maintenance itself is sold two ways. The Annual Maintenance Fee is $145 a year, covers maintenance only and is non-refundable. The Annual Membership is $299 a year and renews automatically. It includes OSCP+ maintenance, Proving Grounds Practice with more than 200 machines, and CPE-eligible content updated each quarter. Paid in each year of a three-year cycle, that's $435 for the fee or $897 for the membership, before the cost of the route itself.

Two numbers aren't on offsec.com. The recertification exam has no separate price listing (OffSec's $1,699 OSCP+ Standalone Exam page says it's meant for "certified OSCP professionals who need to renew their credential"), and the number of CPE credits you need is in OffSec's help center rather than on its product pages. Check both, and which fees your route needs, in your OffSec account or with OffSec's sales team before you plan a renewal.

If you think you'll want the "+" in three years, choose a route early. CPE credits build up over the cycle, a second certification usually takes months of study, and the recertification exam window only opens in the last six months.

How much the OSCP costs in India and other countries

OffSec prices the OSCP in US dollars. Its pages show every price with a dollar sign and don't publish country prices or mention tax, so the OSCP certification cost in India is the dollar price converted into rupees. That's why third-party pages quoting the cost in India or Australia show different numbers.

At the Reserve Bank of India's reference rate of ₹94.86 to the dollar on November 3, 2026 (published by FBIL), OffSec's prices work out to roughly:

OffSec option Price in dollars In rupees, November 3, 2026
    OSCP+ exam only $1,699 About ₹1.61 lakh
Course + Cert Bundle $1,749 About ₹1.66 lakh
Learn One, with the $550 discount $2,199 a year About ₹2.09 lakh
Learn One, full price $2,749 a year About ₹2.61 lakh
Annual Maintenance Fee $145 a year About ₹13,800
    Annual Membership $299 a year About ₹28,400

These are our conversions, since OffSec doesn't publish rupee prices. Exchange rates move, and the rate your bank uses won't match the reference rate exactly. The payment plans and Klarna financing on OffSec's pricing page are listed for eligible US learners only. The figure that counts is the total OffSec's checkout shows you, so check it there before you plan around it. The same goes for the UK, Australia and anywhere else that pays in another currency.

OSCP Black Friday and other discounts

OffSec's recent discounts have been limited-time offers on Learn One, plus a short Black Friday deal on the bundle in 2025. Here is what OffSec has published, as of November 3, 2026:

    • Now. OffSec is marking 20 years with $550 off Learn One, which brings it from $2,749 to $2,199 a year. Its Learn One page says the discount is "for a Limited Time" but gives no end date.
    • End of 2025. On October 30, 2025, OffSec announced a "limited-time end-of-year promotion" with 20% ($550) off Learn One, applied automatically at checkout with no code. For Black Friday week it added 15% off the Course + Cert Bundle, running until Cyber Monday, and warned that it would only last a few days.
    • Black Friday 2026. As of November 3, 2026, OffSec hasn't announced a sale for Black Friday, which falls on November 27, 2026.

Past offers don't mean there will be one this year, so don't delay a purchase you're ready for on the hope of a sale. If a discount does appear, check four things on offsec.com before you pay: which product it covers, the price on that product's page, the end date, and the renewal terms, since Learn One renews automatically.

How to spend less on the OSCP overall

The exam fee is the same for everyone. Your total depends on two things you control: how much of your paid access goes on basics, and how many attempts you need. Do the free steps first, and start paid access when you're ready to use all of it.

    1. Build the foundations before you buy. PEN-200 has no formal prerequisites, but OffSec strongly recommends TCP/IP networking, Windows and Linux administration, and basic Bash or Python. Our free beginner learning paths cover Linux, networking, virtual machine lab setup, Python and an introduction to offensive security. Every week of that done before you buy is a week of your 90 days left for the course and challenge labs.
    2. Learn one method for free. Our free 2-hour OSCP course shows the exam skill set in one sitting, from initial access to Active Directory. Turn it into your own checklist before your OffSec access starts. The OSCP Exam Prep Guide playlist adds more than 170 free videos, from roadmaps to privilege escalation.
    3. Test yourself on Active Directory early. The AD set is worth 40 of the exam's 100 raw points, the biggest single block. Our free AD chains start from an assumed breach with domain credentials, the same way the exam does, and run on your own machine. If you can't finish one without the walkthrough, you've found what to study at no cost. Our guide to the OSCP+ Active Directory set has the methodology.
    4. Add structure with a free trial. Our course for OSCP prep teaches the complete methodology, with a checklist to work from when you're stuck. Use it before your OffSec access to arrive prepared, or alongside PEN-200 as a second explanation. You can start with a free trial.
    5. Book the exam after a full mock. One full-length practice attempt under exam rules, report included, tells you more about your readiness than the calendar does. Our OSCP exam tips cover the 24-hour plan, and the OSCP+ roadmap puts every phase of preparation in order.

    FAQ

How much is the OSCP exam?

The OSCP+ exam on its own costs $1,699, and OffSec's standalone exam page lists two attempts within 90 days with no course materials. With PEN-200, the Course + Cert Bundle is $1,749 for 90 days and one attempt, and Learn One is $2,749 a year with two attempts (offsec.com, checked November 3, 2026).

Do the OSCP and OSCP+ have different prices?

No. They come from the same exam, so there's one price: $1,699 for the exam on its own (offsec.com, checked November 3, 2026), and a pass earns both. Only keeping the OSCP+ after its three years costs extra.

How much does an OSCP retake cost?

As of November 3, 2026, OffSec doesn't publish the retake price on its product or pricing pages, so check it in your OffSec account or with OffSec's sales team. A retake is valid for 120 days, and you can sit it 4, 8 or 12 weeks after a failed attempt, depending on how many times you've failed.

How much does it cost to renew the OSCP+?

OffSec's Annual Maintenance Fee is $145 a year and its Annual Membership is $299 a year, and you also need a renewal route: a recertification exam, another qualifying OffSec certification, or the CPE program. The plain OSCP never expires, so renewing the "+" is optional.

    Is the OSCP free?

No. The exam attempt has to be bought from OffSec, starting at $1,699 for the exam alone. Much of the preparation can be free, including our beginner learning paths, our 2-hour OSCP course and our free AD chains.

Can you buy the OSCP exam without PEN-200?

Yes. OffSec sells the OSCP+ Standalone Exam for $1,699 without course materials, aimed at people who are already prepared. The bundle with 90 days of PEN-200 and one attempt costs $50 more.

How much does the OSCP cost in India?

OffSec charges in US dollars, so the OSCP exam on its own is $1,699, about ₹1.61 lakh at the Reserve Bank of India's reference rate on November 3, 2026. The Course + Cert Bundle at $1,749 is about ₹1.66 lakh. Your bank's rate will differ a little, so check the total at OffSec's checkout, and do the same from the UK, Australia or any other country.

Is there an OSCP Black Friday sale in 2026?

As of November 3, 2026, OffSec hasn't announced one. At the end of 2025 it ran 20% ($550) off Learn One, plus 15% off the Course + Cert Bundle from Black Friday week to Cyber Monday. Check offsec.com for current offers, and don't count on a discount.

Get exam-ready before you pay for lab time

The OffSec fee buys attempts and an access window. Arriving ready for both is the part you can work on today, for free: start with the beginner learning paths if the basics are shaky, or a free AD chain if you think you're close.

Sickkly, one of our students, wrote: "I failed the exam 2 times before I found the training here, then passed the exam on my first attempt after going through this material." (More reviews)
